Satellite Programs Support People with Accessibility Issues
Mr. Jenson: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I’m very excited to recognize the grand opening of SaskAbilities’ two newest satellite programs in Saskatoon and Warman. Just a few weeks ago I had the privilege of attending the opening on behalf of the Minister of Social Services and say a couple of words.
It’s because of our community partners like SaskAbilities that Saskatchewan is closer to becoming a more inclusive and accessible place where everyone has the supports they need to reach their full potential. These partners are essential to giving people with accessibility issues a voice and ensure that they have agency and control over their lives. These new programs will help keep everyone in Warman and area, as well as Saskatoon, included in their communities. And, Mr. Speaker, that’s growth that works for everyone.
I’d like to thank everyone involved in making this opening a success, and I’m very excited to see more individuals being included in our communities with accessible programming. Mr. Speaker, we are committed to our partnership with SaskAbilities and to increasing inclusion for people with disabilities in Saskatchewan communities. We’re all on a constant journey of ensuring our programs and services are person-centred, and that important work will continue for the benefit of all.
On behalf of the Government of Saskatchewan, thank you to SaskAbilities and everyone who works to make our province more accessible. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
